Smell, Odour, Fragrance, Aroma, Scent (SOFAS)

I stood in a colleague's office this morning and her perfume permeated the air. I asked her what she was wearing. It was Forever, by Alfred Sung. On her it's like a light, femine fragrance that floats in the air around her. You can tell if she's walked by because a light aroma follows her everywhere.

"Smoke odour" licensee refused planning permission

An Essex licensee at the centre of the “smoke odour” row has had planning permission refused for a smoking shelter. Jeff Castledine, licensee of the Queens Head, in Boreham, Chelmsford, received a letter from his local council on Saturday informing him permission for the 6ft by 4ft shelter would not be granted. Castledine plans to appeal.

The odor was detected in Terminal B of Newark Liberty International Airport, N. J. at about 11 am, and witnesses said it smelt like natural gas, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport.
